Curling was pretty fun! My knee was not cooperating today, it started hurting when I was lifting, so I used the stick thing, but I think I could get the hang of it over time. I got the only point in the first round as the last shot and our team squeaked out a win in the second round too (but no thanks to me). Would consider doing it again, entirely for fun.

Our team curled a few weeks back as an outing. Very fun. I was briefly in a league a few years ago. Would do it again.
Today was a good and close to 0 gaf day. Felt great!

Market holiday, schools may have it off, but not typically a widely observed business holiday.

We’ve cut back on holidays. Wife had it off as part of Spring Break which coincides with Easter (at the insistence of some citizens).

Got a crapload of amazon stuff to go through today. More work than I’d like. But I’m going to bag off early, I have to make some blue cheese dip sauce for a diaper party I’m hosting tomorrow.

yesterday my boss asked if I’d be available for a 7:30 am meeting today for “company update”, I said sure. I presumed it was about the recent transaction the company completed yesterday.
Nope. Grand-boss (division VP) got fired. They were letting us know about it today before emails went out or the grapevine got ramped up.
Makes the motivation kinda sink today. And here I was excited I had no meetings and was going to spend lots of time digging into a model and also planned for some CE.

I might try to do some CPD today too.
Took the day off. Lazy morning, going to start prepping the porch for primer and paint this afternoon. Just tightening up some screws, busting out the nail set on a few nails the contractor didn’t quite get right, filling screw holes, sanding. The cordless DeWalt sander was a great buy, love that thing.
i have one, maybe 2 things to do today. easy day
