Well, I updated one model, check. And I built a second, a really preliminary toy model, in record time. It’s 2:00 and I don’t know how much longer I can sit here, it’s been fire drills all week, again.

had to get up at the crack of ass for a 7:00a PT session. Felt good right after, but i’m starting to feel the soreness now.

We worked quite late Monday, last night I had a call from 5-6PM. My CFO has so. many. questions. I only have two meetings today and it’s supposed to be 68°, I’m trying real hard to do as little as possible today.

Had a really light day today and got to catch up on some personal development items and also just…not be in meetings (although I did have two, but that’s nothing compared to the rest of this week). Get to log off in another hour and a half.

PTO. i don’t use my allotted vacay time well enough. and by the time I realize it (Q4) we are too busy to take much off. So q1-q2 I try to miss a lot of fridays.

Not only that but your weekend is an hour shorter so you might as well knock off early to reclaim that…unless you’re in one of those smart regions that doesn’t play along with this silly game

I’m exploring CBD gummies (THC free, although it’s legal in my state now) as a way to de-stress. I had several left over from when a friend gave me some, and it went well last night, so I popped another one right at 5 when I logged off. Feels nice.

Well, with some chaos contained, I was able to focus on some backlogged things and I’ve been pretty productive this week. And I got to punt on doing a problem solving meeting next week, so I actually have a little bit of bandwidth to sit and think about priorities. So I’m kinda GAF, but it’s the good kind, I think.
Weather is nice, bit windy, planning on biking to a brewery around 4:00 for happy hour!

That reminds me. You know how a lot of towns have a guy, everyone knows them. Because they do something outlandish, like the guy who rides a one wheel blasting music all over the place. I lived in Topeka years ago, and our guy was ‘Speedo Guy,’ he rode a bicycle all over town wearing a banana hammock.
I hope he wears sunscreen
