I did just about screw all today lol. Maybe two brief 5 minute calls, and one sale. Spent most of my day getting ready for ice fishing tomorrow, cleaning up my gear from the last time, and organizing a bunch of stuff around the house.

Probably have to be present today to field some ad hoc requests, but my bandwidth is near zero right now so I hope it’s nothing significant. This week has wreaked havoc on my emotional wellbeing.

It’s administrative work day, I have to figure out the new password manager thing we are now using, and provide feedback on nine people for review season. I have one model to finish updating, hoping to punch through it all by 4:00 and maybe look into a happy hour. Supposed to be 48° and sunny at 4:00, I can take my bike if my wife isn’t going with!

It’s quite this morning. In about a half hour I’ll have all my admin work done, my calendar for today cleaned out, and my inbox empty.
It’s disquieting. Fridays are always the busiest day of the week, so I’m anticipating an tsunami this afternoon.

Somehow, my email and Slack haven’t been chiming every ten seconds today. There must be a fire drill elsewhere today, great for me! I’ve got some models to look at and some documentation to write down but (fingers crossed) I might end the day without crippling anxiety. That would be a nice change of pace from the past few weeks.

Woke up at 9am checked my stocks, watched some videos.
Spent about 80 minutes doing real actuarial work.
Also delivered coffee to two places.

Yesterday, I was surprised that “tomorrow “ was already Friday. Sometimes these shorts weeks can be brutal. This one was a welcome respite.
