I think I’ve accomplished all I care to this week. I think I’m going to kill time for an hour and then look into happy hour at 3:00. I recently discovered a brewery here has $3 pints from 3-6PM!

I’m giving a lot of F’s today as I ease out of full-time retirement.
First of all, I’m watching continuing education from home so I can continue actuarying next year.
Second, I start working 20 hrs/wk on Monday. A laptop and small docking station arrived yesterday, two monitors arrived today - plus I’m getting another one for myself today. Still waiting on keyboard and mouse, ordered surge protector and internet cable.
I’m not doing any actual work yet, but plenty of pre-work.

The Tesla thing wasn’t even on my radar until maybe three days ago. The part-time actuarial job only came thru two weeks ago. I’ve intentionally been a computer potato for the last two weeks before all the change comes.

I’m not giving many today.
Ugh, got into it with another actuary at work this morning, he lacks tact and that drives me nuts. I’ve got two quick calls to go and maybe one model to work on but I see myself at happy hour by 4:00.

It’s been a meeting-lite week for me, after a 12:30 PM meeting today I have nothing for the rest of the week. So even though it’s not Friday, it kind of feels like it is. Good news for me, because I woke up with a killer cold this morning and feel like lukewarm garbage soup.

Got all my work wrapped up early and am flying overnight to Brazil.
Have a function to go to tomorrow at noon in Rio.
I used to be able to walk off a red eye flight and last another 24hrs no problem. These days its a bit of a struggle (can feel my age a bit now). Thankfully I have a few weeks off over the next month so I can relax a bit with the family.
All day meeting. Daddy gotta GAF.
