Define “rich”

That’s because he has bitcoin, not cash.
He also says a lot of shit that is irrelevant to reality.

I could probably buy a yacht if I really wanted one. Do you have to want one to be rich?

Idk wth I’d do with a yacht even if I lived near water. :joy:

i actually don’t even know what a yacht costs

So, you’re not rich.

that would be a good guess

How about this: jas thinks we’re all poor, can we just leave it at that?

Wait, he doesn’t even have a yacht, not sure I trust his judgment.

My daughter’s SO got his pilot’s license over this past summer and is considering becoming a private pilot via time share. (I’m making up that terminology. I have no idea what the right words are. But basically a handful of rich folks get together and buy a small plane. He agrees to fly it and as compensation, he gets to use it.)

If I get to take vacations one day via private plane, I will consider myself “rich”. Even if I’m freeloading! :joy:

I was at a hoity toity biz dinner a couple years ago and the guys were impressing each other with talk of yacht buying. I learned a bit. Mostly I confirmed that I’d never want to buy one. :joy:

Just a lot of compensating imo

i would guess it’s about minimum 250k + 2k per month maintenance

Is it more the length of the yacht that really matters, or is girth a factor? Or is it really just about the motion in the ocean?

Sounds reasonable. We are chartering one for a day next month while on vacation. It was surprisingly not expensive.

people only talk about length

 I’m probably not the best judge

Not off the strip. Not rundown at the time.

Yeah I had that wrong. They wanted to evict him so he bought the place. At least i think that’s the story.

super cool. I used to work for an airline and sometimes got to ride 1st class for free. Felt rich but not exactly
