Incorrect! You took an illegal right turn from the first column.
If it makes you feel better, I made a similar mistake. I thought I’d solved it, but when I compared to the solution I found a mistake I had made.
Correct!
Oof! There are several mistakes I see now. I did it in my head, then drew it going backwards after I’d figured it out. Think I just got lost on the re-run.

I feel like the many videos I’ve watched from Cracking the Cryptic where they did ‘snake’ puzzles helped me on this one.

Form six 9-letter words by combining two of the three-letter blocks shown below (right) with each middle block in the grid. All blocks will be used. If you do it correctly, two of the vertical columns will spell a common two-word phrase.
Summary
scofflaws
lifeblood
infirmary
childlike
archangel
greenhorn
office
worker
And what is a “Scofflaw”? That was the last word I got, once I’d figured out all the other words.
This one took me a little bit, but since we only have 1 puzzle per day now I’m willing to let them take a little more time and not give up as easy. I was able to get it without any cheating, so yay!
One who scoffs at the law. ![]()
that word doesn’t shake me up. I consider it ordinary enough. It’s far from the some of the other words that have been used. Even within the last week, it’s not as bad as “oaten” or “iaten”
I’ve heard the word used quite a bit. However, I think that most times I’ve heard it used, it has been used in a manner that is kind of making fun of the word while using the word.
8/19/2021 - SIX-PACK
Fill in each empty cell of this grid with a number 1 through 6 so that each row, each column, and each outlined region contains six different numbers. Can you finish the grid?
I started working on this as soon as I posted it and you still beat me! I’m almost done though.
Correct!
I messed it up the first time.
