Whereas i saw “tablecloth” and “skull” and immediately thought “still life”, and looked for generic “fruit” to clinch it.

All me. And spouse, once I told her the purple connection, got the right 4 from the last 8. My strike was due to including pitcher, while also considering batter.
Had no idea what either blue or purple was, guess I should have had purple since I was enjoying a beer last night

Hmm, i tried for “games”, rather than “classic party games”. I’ve never heard of the game " fishbowl", and don’t think of “werewolf” as a classic game. But okay. “Things with springs” is pretty out of date. I haven’t had a clock with a spring in ages. Glue traps have overtaken snap traps in popularity. And aren’t most mattresses foam these days?
