A few years ago I met some teachers, asked them where they were from . they replied, Kingston. I said, that’s too bad.

I think it would be petty to refuse this US group’s request for access to these sites unless Canadians can’t as a result of the increased demand. I have no problem in charging the US kayakers heavily for their use though as this is prime season.

Labour market in the US is going to have serious problems.
What is the equivalent in Canada?
Our immigration system is a bit in flux right now because our historical rate of immigration has been much higher than other countries and when we are cutting back.
I don’t know the cost of a Canadian visa similar to the H-1B but not going out on a limb to predict the cost is well under $100K!

easy litmus test. ask anyone representing themselves what the capital of Canada is. then asked them to name the third territory after Yukon and North west territories.
I figure any Canadian would get those both right and an American might get one right.
Would have busted me. I know the capital, but wouldn’t have come up with the territory. I recognized it as soon as I googled it, but that doesn’t count.

I’d get them both right, but would have to admit that I had not heard of the 3rd territory until well after it had been created, which seems odd to me. I can see it not being widely reported in the US news, but I’d have thought I’d have heard comedians use the pun. But then again, the pun wouldn’t be funny without having heard of the territory first, I suppose.
