I usually hear it or say it just to mean we need to meet and make sure we are all in agreement on things.
What you’ve asked for is completely unrealistic, or, dafuq are we working at the same company because it seems like we’re pursuing different goals.

Maybe I’m not the target audience for this phrase, but it screams “need to pad space with something that sounds very important but really means nothing” which then qualifies for inclusion on my “bullshit bingo” card.
No kidding, when I was job hunting and “fast paced environment” showed up, it wasn’t necessarily “completely reject it” but was more “I need convincing this is worth considering”.

The one you really have to watch out for is “we are like a family here” when dealing with small to medium sized companies.
The amount of guilting to do non-remunerated overtime because of “family” will be toxic.
