Don’t you guys hate it when you try to get the paper to activate the soap dispensers and then it turns out to be brown paper instead of white paper so you’re stuck with no soap? Grinds my gears man.

huh, that’s weird. just googled and it is a thing. I’ve been assuming that the dispensers are based on motion, not on light bouncing back. I guess next time a dispenser stops working near me, I’ll grab a white paper towel…
some professor needs to add this to their syllabus on inclusivity when QA testing tech.
it’s pretty well known that originally crash tests for cars used dummies based on male bodies, which is the same type of issue in a different field.
