Likewise at least one really bizarre call by CHO in the Robot survivor. I’ll describe tomorrow. Qualifying days were 62.07% and 56.20%, and a preliminary 60.95% today.
And only preliminary 51.48% preliminary in Country vs Country, mainly due to poor choices by me.

51.48% was final in Country vs Country. Day 3 of MiniSurvivor 54.33% final. Day 3 of Robot Survivor 61.62% final.
Board 9 of robot survivor
Since his support double promised 3H, why on earth would he pull my jump to 3NT back to 4H, with a 3-3-3-4 shape including Jxx in the suit they had bid and raised?
Board only played 8 times. With hearts 5-1 offside and clubs 4-0 offside, both 4H and 5C went down 3, and 3 NT went down 4. (Haven’t checked to see if any of those could have done better.)
Board 1 of the Mini-Survivor
I expected it to be a laydown. 4S showed 2 keys with the diamond Q, and since he couldn’t have the diamond Q and didn’t (as far as I know) know I had diamond support, I figured he had to have 6 diamonds if not 7. Nope, only 5. Still shouldn’t be enough extra length to show the Q even if I had promised support. Wouldn’t have been too bad if I could pick up the diamonds, but I couldn’t. Fortunately E, not knowing my heart length, pitched one, and with both black finesses working the contract came home. (Board played 7 times. My result tied for top, with another on same auction. 2 went down in 7NT after responding 1H to 1D. They each reached 7NT without knowing about the diamond K, since when they used blackwood it was key cards for clubs.)
Coincidentally it looks like we both saw it was open and issued our newest challenge within minutes of each other.

I couldn’t think of an intelligent way to find the ace (which partner did not have anyway) so I just opened 6H and claimed at trick 2. Two pairs at our club only got to game and one played 3S.
I can’t see images on this forum anymore. No big deal. Just letting this thread know why I likely won’t be responding to bidding things and otherwise.

Our small regional tournament is only every two years. Tomorrow we will be the masterpoint winners for the second time in a row (helps that there’s no pros anywhere to be found, one pro/client barely edged us out the time before)
