Huh, I would have said the opposite… that the timestamps on the notification for the like and the badge (if I got a notification on the 10th like… which doesn’t always happen) were usually only like 1 minute apart.
I don’t know how the system decides how often to re-notify you about likes. If the likes come somewhat close together I won’t get a second notification but if they’re separated by a bit then I will.
So if you get a 9th like and then 30 minutes later you get a 10th like, you may not get a notification for the 10th like… only the 9th and the badge and those notifications will have some distance between them.
But I haven’t figured out the specs on getting a new notification for a like… how far apart the likes must occur or if there are other factors at play.
This is a setting you can change. I changed mine to be notified with every like, rather than once per day.
