Not an auspicious start. I could not take Steve, Steve01 or Steve49 as a Nickname. Not inclined to just keep guessing what might be available. If it just launched it’s hard to believe all 3 were taken. If there are rules beyond “not an already taken name”, they should be stated.
Further observation: unless it will match me against a random person waiting to play, not sure I’m going to put the effort in to arrange matches.
It uses Apple’s Game Center same as if you signed up in your settings.
Once you find a name, you can use it in any app that uses Game Center. There are not a lot of players now, but you should be able to find a random match. You can use it without Game Center, but you won’t be able to invite someone specific. Only random matches.
So names are not unique to this game, and a single name in Game Center applies to all Game Center games? That would explain why MANY names are already taken.
Yep. I figured there would be some people that wouldn’t like Game Center, but it is a free peer to peer system that developers can use and not have to have an expensive server or worry about security when devices share info.
