Got a new iPhone 16 this weekend. Putzing around the yard it fell out of my pockets. Cut the grass, hit something, and I noticed where the thing landed. Yep - it was my iPhone. I did NOT get the insurance.
I got a smart watch, so I carry my phone around a lot less, and thankfully drop it less
I got my wife a new iphone.
Our little one loves using it for music.
Problem is you need a pasword to unlock. She got mad and did it ten times in a row (this took some time as the iphone gives you a time out after 5x)
New security feature in iphone basically bricks your phone if you get the password wrong so many times.
A visit to the Apple store and £250 later…
We managed to get the phone un-bricked and the data re-uploaded from secure back-ups in the cloud.
My wife was not amused.
I have a 16 Pro, one thing I noticed is how good the audio is using the built-in speakers. I mean, you have to set expectations, it’s not hifi, but there is usable output down to 150Hz or so I think.
No idea how they do this. I wonder if they are using a tactile transducer to turn the screen into a speaker to add surface area for bass. Or maybe they’ve just brute forced it, adding power to the amplifier and using some EQ.
This is more what I thought this thread would be about.
GF got really upset with me. I went to pick up some stones from her back yard to place around some flower beds at my house. I brought Audie, my dog, with me without telling her. Her dog didn’t like him and I scared the GF. Awe FLICK!
long story short… he didn’t get his rocks off
I had a pretty sizey CC bill and I paid it out of the wrong account.
The account didn’t have the money to cover it
$37 5/3 overdraft charge wasn’t bad
Awe FLICK!
I forgot my meds at my daughter’s house 100 miles away. Levothyroxine is one of my daily must take meds.
Awe FLICK!
call your doctor, most meds they can get an emergency prescription to a local pharmacy
actually, read that backwards, can still get emrrgency presciption and she can FedEx the rest
Oops. I should have been clearer. I forgot my travel package of my meds. But thank you!
I am headed home. I’ve survived two days without it before. Last time my doc told me it was ok to take a double dose when I get back home. I’ll still call him and see if that is ok before I do it again.
In the depths of my travel toiletry bag, whilst looking for a toothpick, I found a lonely Levo’ine that must have fallen out. Whew! I feel a bit safer to go for a run now.
insurance???
Congratulations. You now qualify as a Memphian.
