I’m not saying a smaller firm can’t do a good job, but this is the HQ of his auditors in Lakewood, CO. It’s just not what I’d expect for the team auditing a company worth billions. Anywho.
They seem rock solid. 100% deficiency rate from PCAOB. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/trump-media-accounting-firm-history-150150627.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAETbeqB4WtfzVT4W_U0rOkMNdul5k-S4R2bG1YtpgFquXL1CkHcAwhpuTGjYnNnI-gNgGC3oORYO5kHbcDnsc7TW75nYhqL3z6jq3mdF_-oODKhBSCUuFG95uU4HvY9lqnYSdILFOoYPSFiPqm5sw3DpLaV2H5Js32aPW5_hLYr2
it’s like the accounting firm in “The Other Guys”. If a bomb goes off there as Will Farrell an marky mark walk up, we’ll know
along with 21 million shares that were converted after the exercise of warrants, which enable an investor to buy shares at a preset price. When a SPAC goes public, it issues warrants to investors that can later be converted into shares.
Certain people/investors got warrants giving them the right to buy stock at a fixed price. It looks like this is a legal step to allow them to buy or sell (not clear which) the stock they can acquire through warrants. These warrants have not been a secret.
Also included in the filing were an additional 36 million shares given to Mr. Trump as part of an “earnout” bonus based on the company’s stock price.
This wasn’t a surprise either. But, DJT is still down 18% today.

What’s the projected value of this meme stock as soon as trump passes?
Tree fitty. Not per share.
News that they are going have a steaming pile of TV not received well, down another 5% this morning.
Down another 5% so far this morning.
Closed at $22.85 - under $25 will it drop below $20 tomorrow?
If I understand shorting correctly, you borrowed stock, sold it, and are planning to buy back in at a lower price to repay the lender.
There must be some date when you need to repay. Is there a source somewhere that gives all the short sales with their scheduled settlement dates?
I believe there is a margin that needs to be posted, and when the stock price rises too much, then he must post more money. As long as the price remains below some amount, Mathman is free to pursue a life of religious fulfillment.
S3 has some data on this, I forget exactly what all they have. As I recall, it’s imperfect, and lagged in time, these transactions aren’t tracked in some sort of central data repository.
But I’m not short shares, I have puts.
Back over 25, up 13% so far today.
Thanks. I thought you were doing a short sale.
My puts!
Things seem to be looking up for DJT. Up 18% today. They instructed share holders how to prevent their shares from being loaned.
Puts are down, but IV is spiking so they haven’t dropped much really. Interesting.
Funny: people think it is a sucky company so short it via open-market mechanisms.
“Wahhh! People think our company is shitty!! Sad!! Fraud!! Fake News !!”
Disclaimer: I did not read the article, but I’m guessing that is an exact quote.
I would think that a company openly telling their shareholders how to prevent the open market from “borrowing” their shares is manipulation (keeping the stock price artificially high for the Big Baby to get rich without trying), but hey, what do I know?
OK, I read it.
Nunes also noted in the letter that shares of the company were on a list the Nasdaq maintains that’s “indicative of unlawful trading activity.”
“This is particularly troubling given that “naked” short selling often entails sophisticated market participants profiting at the expense of retail investors,” he said.
Sophisticated market participants = “people who know it’s a shitty company.” So, nearly everybody. Even Nunes and D.J.T.
Retail investors = people that don’t know it’s a shitty company. So, idiots who simply want D.J.T. to have their money in exchange for… ? Owning libs? Tear-generating?
Naked shorting is considered a disruption to markets and is illegal, iirc. The shares have to be lent to be sold. It aeems very unlikely the companies mentioned are permitting this to happen, and in fact, the complaint doesn’t directly accuse them.of it (at least based on my reading of the article).
