Annoyed Thoughts

My neck has been hurting all day. I think I just slept on it wrong.

That happened to me once. And then it never got better, so I went to a neck specialist and the same day got scheduled for spine surgery, a month and a half later.

It was actually a very restful eight weeks off work.

So last night, one of the doggos non-chalantly jumped off his cozy chair-with-binkie, :face_vomiting: all over one corner of the rug – without the usual hubuh, hubuh, hubuh warning – jumps on the couch as if to tell me “daddy daddy guess what, I vomited rotten death!” (which is what it and then the whole room smelled like), then nonchalantly jumped back on to his chair and went back to sleep as if nothing happened. :expressionless:

It’s about to be my turn: Someone is wearing that generic grandma perfume that is government-issued along with Medicare when old ladies turn 65 or something. (Although I think in this case it’s a student wearing it.) :face_vomiting:

And I imagine that they practically bathed in it . :icantbreathe:

Perils of wearing your gym shoes outside the gym.

I made coffee at home and went a little heavy sweetening it!! :confounded:

more pbm fun.

30 day supply of inhaler received 11/7. set up for auto-refill. Walk in yesterday to get it. told it is held up by pbm. they want to only fill it so often (despite being a 30 day supply) so want it switched to a 90 day supply they are willing to fill in january. script has refills for a year, so they should be able to give me 3 at a time, but the system doesnt allow.

i was ready to tell the pharmacist this is the sort of frustration that drives people to hate the industry but…too soon. pharm was pretty on my side for the stupidity of it

The other day when filling up my car, the dude next to me topped off his tank. I thought it was common knowledge that you don’t top it off. He kept pumping until gas spilled out onto the ground. What a dick.

when can we start bitching again about out healthcare and PBM service/interface without sounding like we are also advocating for actual murder? I mean, i advocate for figurative murder, not literal murder. how long do I wait - is it 2 or 3 school shootings away?

If healthcare execs are getting shot up as often as schools, we might create a similar environment where it’s always ‘too soon’ to talk about healthcare reform, because we’re still recovering from the CFO of whatever company being killed.

As soon as you sent your thoughts and prayers, i think you’re good to go.

So, next Tuesday then?

Might be a bit of a hiatus. Winter break is coming.

Is there any school of thought that justifies going on PTO and not canceling meetings that you do not intend to take place while you’re gone?

An “I’m out tomorrow” email does not clean up my calendar. Cancel or reschedule the meeting if you’re leading it… don’t make me search for what meetings I might need to cancel because you are out of the office. If you’re invited to a meeting and won’t be going, decline it so that I know you won’t be there. Then I can decide if we should proceed without you or reschedule.

Don’t make me open every calendar item on my calendar during your PTO to see what involves you. Manage your calendar!!!

Am I thinking about this wrong or am I right to be annoyed by a person who consistently does this?

“Oh, well I told you I’d be out.”

Is that sufficient? In my mind it’s not … do I need to recalibrate my thinking?

Nope. Fry 'em.

not sufficient, actually very self centered

My boss will leave the team meetings on, hoping we will discuss among ourselves

That’s how I feel about it. I won’t say I’ve never missed something, especially if I’m sick. But this is like Every.Single.Time.

Quite reasonable. But if you & I are meeting one on one next Tuesday to discuss the ABC project and I now have to take Tuesday off to fly to Ohio to watch my mother have benign tumor removed… I think the onus is on me to cancel or reschedule our meeting and not leave it cluttering up YOUR calendar.
