Annoyed Thoughts

Speaking of Amazon, I live in a town house. My side has one number, the other side has a different number. Both clearly labeled. But they are closer to the street, so a good portion of my Amazon deliveries go to them (including the one I just picked up. Maybe going outside barefoot in 33 degree weather wasn’t the best choice)

You have a preferred pan too? Samies!

same, but only hand wash

I bought McD hotcakes yesterday on the way to work, but forgot the bag with butter, syrup, and utensils in the car. I was too lazy to go back and get them and figured I didn’t need the calories. When I got to the car to go home, I went to throw out the bag and found it had 5 butters in it. Man! I missed out on a bonus butter day!

Also, I had a couple year-old syrups in the office (from a bonus syrup day). I would have thought they’d have a fairly long shelf life, but they had both turned into solid goop.

ordered a partially cooked turkey from Stew Leonard’s. Mrs PZ unwrapped a totally raw bird. Luckily we should have enough time to eat at a reasonable hour.

and need to get a credit as well

Partially cooked turkey? What is the benefit?

Is it cold when you get it? I don’t get how the cooking time is cut in half.

I know pork shoulder can stall on a smoker as the fats break down at temp that is high enough to kill off bacteria but well below the finished temp to pull apart. Something similar to that maybe?

yes cold. not sure how it works, but seasoned and mostly cooked, usually about 2 hours in oven

perfectly medium rare for those who like it that way?

A year or two ago Mini Me’s aunt on her father’s side bought her some slippers for Christmas, which she LOVES.

Since they were from one of her Dad’s relatives I thought she should keep them at his house. So now she has no slippers at my house. Well you can pretty much only get kid slippers at this time of year. Find her a nice pair of slippers at Target. Put in a Target order with the slippers & a few other things. Submit.

The slippers are out of stock at the local Target but they have one at the second closest Target, according to the app. Fine, we’re heading up that direction anyway, we’ll pick them up there.

Drive up to Target 2. Just kidding… Target 2 is also out of them, the app has now decided. But they have a limited supply at Target 1 but you can’t order online; you have to go in store. Grrrr… we were just there. But she’s really excited about these slippers… back to Target 1.

They don’t have them on the shelf in Mini Me’s size. :woman_facepalming:

Target 3 has them though, per the app. Grrr… drive to Target 3. They don’t have them on the shelf either!!!

The epilogue is that Target 3 had an even better pair of slippers in Mini Me’s size on the shelf, so despite being out past her bedtime she now has a pair of slippers that she loves. And I’m the Best Mama Ever!

Why isn’t this in Happy Thoughts? (or in a new thread for “Things We Already Knew But Are Now Confirmed”)

Haha, well the whole thing started with an Annoyed Thought. But thank you for the compliment. :hugs:

I’m also guaranteed to lose my status as Best Mama Ever the next time I make her comb her hair! (Mixed race hair is challenging :grimacing:)

In-law’s dog got to the Turkey pre-dinner this year. I managed to sneak enough to stick inside a roll prior to said contamination though.
