The first bit or the second bit?
THE PLATES FOR PLATES HAVE LANDED!
I was told they’ll look great, some cutlery, a nice napkin… beautiful.. I agree.
Man my spouse actually has nice hands, but that pic isn’t very flattering lol.
The gold? That looks more like a round placemat than a charger, but it’s hard to tell for sure.

Either one can look elegant, but as I said; I don’t bother.
I asked my kids if they would each like $7,000 to open a Roth IRA. They weren’t sure, they told me they would think about it.
Lol why are they turning down free money??

I’ll take it if they don’t want it.
I caught a bug. Had post nasal drip and a sore throat last night. Could be a cold, could be COVID.
The only COVID tests I had at the house had expired. I used it anyway. The control line still showed up, and if it’s valid I am COVID negative.
Kids suck at covering coughs and nose blowing.
Hey, Pops…
As Tom and Ray used to say, do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?
That’s silly. Right, of course. If I’m right, then I’ll be happy.
There was a clog with the hose that drains condensation. When my husband was messing with it, he managed to unclog it enough to get it to work again, but the HVAC guy unclogged it FR. At least that’s the jist of it, I didn’t fully understand what my husband said.
One of the discord servers that I’m on has a lot of autistic members, myself included. Normally that’s ok, but I freaking hate it when anyone mentions anything train related. It derails the conversation for hours. But at least now I know what everyone’s favorite train route is.
One of the topics this morning had 100 new posts, almost all of them pictures of trains. Not interesting trains either, just the local subway and commuter rail trains. Taken by at least 6 different posters.
I know the AC creates a lot of condemsate, and some systems particularly in attics have a kill switch if overflow pan fills. I didn’t realize furnaces created much condensate. I have the higher efficiency ones that have external exhaust/intake pipes. If they are trying to capture as much heat from exhaust gas before it exits the house i bet there is more consensate than older versions. I will have to look when i get home tonight to find the connection between condensate pump and heat exchanger/exhaust. I know i don’t have a kill switch on unit in the basement.
Yes, the high efficiency gas furnaces create a lot more condensate, and it’s quite acidic. Requires a neutralizer in the drain.
I have a meeting tomorrow. There will be a lot of VPs there and a couple of C Suite folks. They all want to show up feeling somewhat knowledgeable about what I’m presenting, so all of them are asking me questions. So I’m spending half my life answering questions rather than doing any actual work. And I don’t brag much, but it’s one of those things where I know more than anyone else in the company and it’s not close, so I’d really like to get to work.
And now, I got an invite to a fourth pre-meeting for the meeting. FML. I am going to tell everyone that if they want to pay me a buck fifty an hour to meet, I will meet all day, every day. I just won’t ever do any work. Their call, really.
I’m 90 minutes into a 4-hour layover at ATL.
After I had dinner, I observed that my flight was going out of gate B1. I decided to go camp there and enjoy the opportunity to make progress on the book I’m reading.
I hike down there, find a seat, and get a notification: my flight is now going out of the gate across from where I arrived…at the end of A concourse.
At least I’ve got time and the assistance in getting my steps in.
(I might, however camp someplace near the center of a concourse, just in case there’s another gate change.)
Flying is for suckers.
