He is probably going through the differential diagnosis and treatments in sequence for dry eye syndrome.

See below:

I held open the door at the deli for a young lady leaving while talking on her cell phone. Did she say thank you? No. Did she even look at me? That’s a big negatory. :broken_heart:

My favorite FM radio station, which played a variety of music and was a nice alternative to NPR when i didn’t want to listen to people talking, has been purchased by Bloomberg.

kid is home from college bc she got sick. went to urgent care got some stuff. for the urgent issue.

somehow the rx that was sent to the pharmacy wasn’t covered bc it required preauth. it also took the pharmacy 24hrs to find the order for it. so i just paid the $18 cash price (we are at OOP max already, so charge should be $0) to avoid 48hrs of need without the med.

WTF is there a preauth for an $18 med?

Maybe she was sending you a significant signal and/or non-advance.

Nah, she lost that deal. :-1: :unamused:

I forgot to weigh myself this morning.

I’m on vacation, and since we were planning to do a lot of hiking I reserved a small SUV. I think some trailheads will be on unpaved roads, and figured a cute UTE would be a good option for only a few dollars more.

Our flight arrived pretty late at night. All the small SUVs were gone, so I got a “free upgrade”. Had my choice of a 4Runner or Durango and went with the 4Runner. There are just 2 of us, so I would have greatly preferred the better fuel economy, better handling, and greater manuverability of a small SUV. Stuck with the “upgrade” for the week. It’s a fine vehicle, but not the right tool for the job.

I woke up at 3:30 this morning with stomach cramps. Was able to get back to sleep after a half hour of pain in the bathroom though, fortunately.

I was a little crampy myself yesterday. Not as much this morning though. More just generally achy from the temperature shift.

Our furnace is not consistently producing warm air. It alternates between heated air and just recirculated air. Feels expensive.

That might be a “feature”.

Circulating the air can help even out the temperature throughout the house, reducing hot spots and cold spots. So it might be a good thing.

My thermostat has the option to have the fan running constantly or only when the HVAC is producing hot/cold air. I tend to keep it on all the time in the summer and only when producing hot air in winter. Hot/cold spots are a bigger problem in summer.

That said, my office gets hot in the afternoon… I might see if I can circulate in the afternoons to help with that.

Our hot water tank is a relic of the 80s :grimacing: I need to start researching local plumbers so we can pre-emptively upgrade it before it turns into a headache again. (It went out a few months before I moved in, and whoever fixed it was able to find the parts for it but was like “that’s it, next time you pretty much gotta replace it.”)
