I popped my headphones on, but I neglected to charge them up beforehand.
It’s on the delivery truck for today. It’s been in my city since Thursday, so that’s annoying.
I was walking through a small park near my house yesterday. Some douchebag drove his car and parked it inside the park next to the playground where kids were playing and was smoking a joint there. There was plenty of available free street parking immediately adjacent to the park.
Coworker via teams: Hi
Me: Hi
C: Good morning
Me: Good morning Coworker, what’s up?
C: How is your day going?
Me: Can we just skip ahead to the part where you tell me what the frick you want?
(Ok, I didn’t actually type out that last part, but 3 rounds of small talk for someone not in my division whom I’ve never met is two too many.)
family garbage barrel outside came down with a case of the maggots. good gravy they smell awful. working on a multi-step cleanup now. (not this moment now. just this week.)
Dammit, I was trying to write a MATCH function and accidentally entered two rows in the lookup table instead of one row and it took me 20 minutes to figure it out. I must be slipping in my old age!
We used to have that happen on occasion. Usually when we threw a chick carcase in there for a few days. Bug spray worked wonders.
At least you’re not running for president?
If not an actual spot, I would have called the cops.
More about someone in a car watching the kids
Parked on the pine straw. Not a spot. It didn’t look like he was watching the kids. I think he pulled up to make a phone call and smoke a joint. Why he would do so in such a conspicuous spot is weird.
He left a minute or 2 after I spotted him.
This plus
Sounds like a fire risk.
They got the board earlier than expected, so the A/C is operational as of a few minutes ago. Yay!
It was a hot few days
I thought XLOOKUP was all the rage now (although if it’s a big table with numerous columns MATCH is usually better).
I called Bryant back yesterday, they said their standard is 5-7 business days so they asked me to sit tight. This is getting annoying. And we are going to Maui next Tuesday for two weeks so they won’t be able to do anything during that time.
i fouled up a meeting invite today. for whatever reason I am super bad at time zone math. i went 2 hrs the wrong way and had the client decline and propose the correct time we agreed to. dang it!
Just about wiped out last night on the stairs to the back deck: I was wearing slippers and it had just rained. I managed to grab the hand rail in the nick of time.
Got a new electric fireplace delivered yesterday because the heater on the old one broke after 5 years of heavy use.
The FedEx driver left it on the lawn. On top of a sprinkler head. Which went off, on schedule. I happened to see where the delivery was while the sprinklers were going.
I caught it before it had pumped a full 10 minutes of water into the box and thankfully salvaged most of it. The top-most largest, most visible panel of the unit is unacceptably warped and peeling.
Thankfully I pretty much saved the rest. Only a few other small pieces were slightly damaged, in areas not visible when pushed against the wall. Not worried if the backside of the back-right foot is a little weird. Hopefully they’ll send me a replacement for the main part.
