agreed, the server should have said something
why don’t you call the restaurant first?
can a CC company adjust a charge, or will all five have to cancel and then call the restaurant anyway?
i have done it for false charges, never for a mischarged amount
The lowest forecast high temperature here this week is 95. That’s an incredibly uncomfortable stretch of weather.

Yes, I’ve done it numerous times…especially during the takeout days of the pandemic where I didn’t receive an item…just request a partial refund-in instances such as this it’s usually automatically granted

My HVAC needs more work, I guess the four trips out last week didn’t fix it. Patience… thin.
Having the opposite problem at the SOA health meeting, it was 63° in one room!

Partner only ever reads my last text. Texted:
“Hey, so she’s totally fine! Our handyman’s daughter got in a car accident and he had to rush off to look at the car and see if it’s salvageable and handle insurance and things. He said if we were comfortable finishing the staining that he could still wrap up tomorrow and we won’t be paying for that labor, so I’ll get it done.”
“Headed out back for a couple of hours to finish the stain!”
Partner pops their head out: What are you doing? You texted me about staining something?
(Full disclosure: Partner was recently diagnosed with ADHD, which we’ve both suspected for a while but is going to be medicated in a month)

Today has been the longest Thursday ever.

We tied the record for this date at 100 today. It hasn’t hit triple digits here since August 2019.
Boat not working. Diagnostics acting irrationally. Should be an easy fix, now I don’t even know where to start. And taking it to the marina on a Thursday before a Canadian long weekend, lol. They’ll just tell me see you in November.
Got a buddy lives around the corner, big boat guy and a mechanic. Of course he’s not home tonite.
And no point asking any of you folks. Sheesh.
Did you try unplugging it and plugging it in again???

Anyone want to take a crack?
Last time we were out, I couldn’t get it to start, not enough juice. Turned over but not enough oomph. Then just died.
So, battery or alternator, and it’s a new battery. Sure enough the battery was dead. So still battery or alternator. Just charged the battery, no problem. Seems like not the battery, voltage shows fine.
But it still won’t turn over. Not likely the battery since it’s charged. If it’s the alternator it should still start with a full battery. Nope, enough juice for it to chirp when I turn on the ignition, so power but not enough juice to turn over.
Ok, so sanded the battery contacts. Still nothing.
About all I can think of is some weird battery thing.
What is the chirp?
Bad starter? Bad wire between the thing that chirps and the starter? Squirrels?
Boat motor chirps when you turn the key.
What a comedy. The reason the motor wouldn’t start? I had the throttle not in neutral. It has to be not in neutral for the boat cover. I figured it out with buddy standing there. I’m an idiot.
So buddy funds a blown fuse in the motor, and we figured out what caused it. This is the guy where a few months ago I had lost the pedestal for my floor jack, and he just happened to have one. Who has an extra floor jack pedestal?
So of course he’s got the fuses. He had a new fuse holder, but couldn’t find it. And I mentioned I needed a plug for my livewell. He’s got two new ones, here’s one. Geez prices are pretty good at ralphies garage.
So I hear to crappy tire to get a fuse holder. Buddy at the store shows me this trick. Find the product on the website, hit 'find product’s and the led price tag flashes a light…right in the display rack in the aisle!!!
Ended up being a pretty good night lol. And my minds blown by how I can make the price tags flash in store, right from the website.

Do you not have a warranty for the works & parts?
Not sure how this works in the US these days.
It’s covered under warranty, so I’m not paying for this. But it’s really annoying, I keep getting error codes, they come out and tweak something, rinse, repeat.
