Annoyed Thoughts

Rained today and my running shoes got all wet. Socks too!!!

socks soaked from rain isn’t as bad as when you’ve run so much and sweated so much that you can wring several ounces of liquid out of those same socks.

Running is for suckers.

Selling a $10 hat on marketplace. One guy says I’ll be there tomorrow night. OK.

Someone else comes buy today, hands me $10 and leaves with the hat. I text the first guy…and apparently I ‘sold it out from underneath him’?

Buddy, you could’ve etransfered me $10 if you wanted to buy it. that’s the way marketplace works. nobody bought anything until there’s a $10 bill in my hand.

Yeah. I always tell people on FB Marketplace that I don’t hold things overnight. It is at their risk if they can’t come bye the same day. Too many no-shows.

Oh, that’s right. I forgot I get disembarkment syndrome after cruises.

is that something like “i still feel the slight sway of the ocean” or “i am disoriented by large showers and not having all me meals be all i care to eat”?

lol.

To answer the question seriously, I get vertigo for several days after, similar to BPPV (which I have), but the Epley maneuvers do not fix it. Just have to wait it out. Feels like I’m still on a boat with some mild underlying nausea…which, ironically, I don’t actually get when I’m on a boat.

can you use the dramamine until it subsides?

It’s a brain thing, not an ear thing, so medication doesn’t do anything. Being in motion helps, like walks or drives.

Back at work tomorrow after 8 days off (I did do some work this afternoon and took back a few hours of PTO as a result). My alarm is going off in 2.25 hours and I’m wide awake. This will not go well.

I spent way too much time away from GoA trying to hold other shit together at work that I think ultimately won’t matter, and way too little time staying up to date on things here.

Somehow just now asking Claude to transcribe my own handwriting for the first time. Turns out, my handwriting does in fact succckkkkk.

Latest from the dipshit neighbors - this upgrade by AT&T is part of a plan for the government to use drones under the guise of supporting first responders to ultimately be weaponized surveillance.

Apparently, in a world where 5G seems to work for everything else, drones can only operate off wires buried in the ground.

remember when that was gonna kill us all and crash all the planes?

Oh yeah. I had AI write up a fact check to keep out neutral and avoided mansplaining it to include 5g.

This woman who posted it seems to be the cofounder of a business worth several million.

On the flip side, you don’t need to write in code because only you can decipher your handwriting.
