KEF is a small airport so even 45mins is plenty of time.
didn’t know you visit Dr. Pimple Popper. Are you gonna be on the show???
It’s not so much the size of the airport as much as it is the function of (number of guards) × (average speed of processing) vs (number of incoming passengers). Looks like there are 7 or 8 flights from North America that all get in at about the same time…
I’m sure it’ll be fine, but I do have a history of infamous luck when it comes to traveling.
I was once getting ready to disembark a flight that arrived just 20 min late and a highly-stressed woman asked to go in front of me because her connecting flight “is already boarding”. I’m putting that down as a foreseeable risk.
Maybe, maybe not.
-
The airline may have involuntarily changed their flights.
-
The airline may have changed the times of flights previously booked.
-
It may have been their second connection and a delay on their first flight caused them to miss their second flight, giving them a tight connection on the third flight.
-
There might not have been earlier flights from their origin or later flights to their destination.
Probably other possible ways a tight connection isn’t their fault.
Southwest is ending the free bag policy. You will only get free checked bags if you have status or if you have a Southwest credit card (haven’t seen details on which ones).
My wife is gonna be pissed. She is a SW fan, and prefers to check bags.
Where did all the fun work assignments go?
Someone’s got a file open and I really, really, really want to save my changes to it. But I don’t want to ask them to close it. Can’t wait til their connection times out and I can do what I want.
Give 'em a ping: see if they’ll free it up.
And ask what kinda shoes they’re wearing.
My son has some SW flights already booked, but not yet flown. Since we booked them assuming bags were free, hoping they won’t charge us? If they do, I will be posting to this thread in a few months.
we only flew SW for the checked bag, hated the cattle car line up for seating. So did away with both.
AP says the change is effective with flights booked on May 28.
On vs For is a distinction that I could see an editor screwing up but hopefully that means what it says.
At their last investor day they claimed the change would bring in $1.5 billion in revenue and cost $1.8 billion in market share.
planning two golf trips this summer, so may be able to get some free baggage
Where Have All the Good Times Gone?
Bringing the wife? :rimshot:
My favorite jeans ripped in the crotch. I have 3 pairs, well I guess 2 pairs, so it’s not the end of the world but still.
Speaking of, when is your next trip with Missus Bee Gee??? The Catskills might be a nice change of pace!
My dog is usually very good when we take her for patio dining. Most of the time she just hangs quietly under or by the table, often surprising other guests when she gets up as they didn’t know a big dog was around. Once in a while she gets fired up, usually because she gets surprised by a person or dog approaching her that she was not aware of.
If I’m in a spot with something very sturdy nearby, I’ll strap her leash to it. I will not just strap her to a typical table or chair leg, as that’s an invitation to topple the table or chair. If nothing sturdy is nearby, I strap the leash around the corner of the chair I am sitting in and my thigh. That’s worked so far.
We were at a table on the edge of a busy patio. Nobody was near us, and foot traffic was light in our area. A woman came around the far edge of our table for some reason, I think just texting or messing on her phone while walking around.
Annoyed #1: It startled the dog, who jumped up and bolted at the woman barking. She didn’t touch her and wasn’t going to, but it frightened the woman. I apologized and felt bad for her, as it scared the crap out of her.
Annoyed #2: my leash security worked OK, but I got a wicked rope burn across the back of my thigh. It’s pretty painful now.
I’ve overproofed my last couple of loaves so the tops have collapsed. The crust turned out a little too crunchy when I baked.
