When we implemented quarterly performance reviews at the house, there were a lot of tears, let me tell you. I didn’t expect such grief until they got me on the skip-levels. Mom hadn’t lost all her toughness, that’s for sure.

Went by the pharmacy last night at 7:15pm to fill a prescription. Sign says they close at 8p, but they were already closed.
Showed up at the pharmacy again today. It is snowing a bit. The whole place is closed. The bagel place a few doors down is open. WTF.

Don’t you have a snow blower?
I’ve considered one for years, if and when I get the garage organized I may get one. My back isn’t getting better with age, at some point I’ll need one.

Just got into Brussels from London via Eurostar and they are going to have a general transport strike from Sunday to Monday.
Eurostar not affected (for now) but it will make moving around the city quite tricky.

My smallish credit union has Zelle. I haven’t used it tho.
I am a credit union customer, but the CU has not embedded Zelle in their app. I use the stand alone app Zelle is killing.
When you have to use a toilet seat cover to clean up because the stall is out of toilet paper, followed by being told “rookie mistake” and to be grateful at least there was an alternative material.
Even more annoying is that I should’ve known better from my time working as a janitor in college. It always annoyed me when people wouldn’t use up one roll before starting the next.

What a debacle. Driving 5 hours to take my buddies mom a coffee and have a visit on the anniversary of her daughter’s passing. I’m 4 hours into the drive and my buddy texts me, mom is freaking out about a virus/COVID, so no coffee tomorrow. Ok, I’ll drop some flowers off in the porch. Long drive for no visit.
At least I get to see my girl friend. She lives on an island back home. So I text them ‘im at the ferry! See you soon!’. They text back, dude, I thought that was next weekend. I’m not home’.
Sigh. Oh well,.get to spend the night with some family. Gonna get my sister’s dishwasher fixed in the morning, then head back.

I was hoping for more snow. I get a perverse enjoyment from shoveling snow, and I can’t even begin to describe the emotions when there’s enough to fire up the snow blower. :timallengrunt:
