Annoyed Thoughts: archive 1

Or would the better solution be, and I’m saying this as a dermatillomania enthusiast, to pick at the blood blister incessantly until it pops, making it even more painful?

Rototillers beat hewing a 30x40ft garden out of an overgrown field with a hoe. Blisters, so many blisters.

My advice, as a person with similar proclivities, is to do your best to refrain for two or three days, to give the tissue inside a little time to heal. Infections on the foot are a bitch.

Not an infection, but I have this very small patch of what I think is some sort of recurrent eczema (itchy dry patch with very, VERY tiny water pockets underneath the skin) near the arch of one foot. It is the absolute worst. Keeps me up at night it’s so god damn itchy the worst. When it happens, I usually take the nearest sharp object to dig into it until the itchiness turns to pain, which is so much better.

Just yesterday I noticed I have a small patch at/on my wrist bone. I have a feeling this is going to be a gets worse as you get older thing, and I’m not looking forward to it.

Tiffany, you should go see a doctor.

My husband recently hacked up our whole backyard with a pronged tool, it had four prongs that were all kind of crooked, and he was twisting it in the yard. It was all very manual. Is that similar?

There were many blisters.

Gloves. I always wear them even for just raking nowadays.

Gloves were worn, blisters still ensued.

Yikes. Better gloves?? :man_shrugging:

Annoyed thought: “Handmaid’s Tale” S04E01.

I was looking forward to watching this but from what I’m hearing, I should lower my expectations?

The incandescent light bulb in my bedside lamp just burned out. I replaced it with an LED. YIKES! So much harsher. I guess I need to shop for a “warm white” LED, as this one isn’t going to cut it.

We call that a “fork”. The “hoe” has a flat blade, at an angle from the handle. The last time I wanted to turn over soil, I used a spade.

Yes, I now have one of those. Called like a Tornado or a Hurricane or something. Year 1 of home ownership was an old-timey hoe owned by my late grandpa from the 40s-50s.

It’s good enough to not buy another piece of machinery to maintain, just yet.

I did… like 18 years ago. Just gave me a useless cream.

The show as a whole? Or Season 4?

The show always seems to be on a sine wave. June stirs up crap. Kinda gets away with it. Gets caught. Gets out of it. Ok for a while. New plan. June stirs up crap…ad infinitum (or nauseum, your pick)

Oh my. I have one of those. I use it to RE loosen the soil in my small raised bed each spring and incorporate compost.

A hand tiller?

Or a rotary cultivator?

Annoyed thought: if I abandon my cart on the Costco app for more than a few minutes, it empties the cart.

Just because I don’t have the CVV number of my Costco Visa memorized doesn’t mean that I don’t want that stuff. Why are you making it so hard for me to be your customer???

That’s amazingly dumb — most places if I leave something in a cart and get emails for a week to come back and finish my purchase.
