Obligatory STNG meme:

My electric bill is $415 this month.

Who would have thought a sewing machine could use so much electricity.

It really is like a bunch of cats. They take direction poorly. I have many examples of providing clear directions on what to do and not do, and students doing exactly the opposite.
Many many examples lol.

I just felt a horrid crack in my neck (flesh crack rather than bone crack) and now I don’t feel right.

Hmm, I typically have flesh crack a little lower.

I think I’ll make it to the end of my day. (Late day bc of my adjunct class.) The crack happened at the right spot to trigger my neck issue.

BF is a college professor and has stories!

My water bill is $190  It’s usually about $60 (two month billing periods) in the winter and maybe $85-90 at most during the summer.

I think it’s because a toilet was left running for a few days while we were out of town. We also had some guests stay for a week but I can’t imagine their showers almost tripling our normal bill. Hopefully there isn’t some other issue unaccounted for, but I’ve checked the water heater and all other sources for leaks. And now I have to wait 2 more months to see if it’s back to normal!

You can probably get the water company to check for leaks. But the running toilet is likely to blame.

Triple is a lot of excess water usage. Was the toilet running constantly the whole time?

If so, did you catch it?

No but I caught a refrigerator once.

I felt a tingle in the corner of my mouth a few days ago but told myself I had just scraped it or something. I don’t usually get them in the corner, they’re usually on my top lip, front and center.

Didn’t take any valcyclovir. Woke up the next day with a blister (which means it’s essentially too late for the meds to do much), and now two days later I am hating myself.

I only get cold sores about twice a year now. They still suck. But at least I don’t have them constantly now like I used to.

My grocery store only has one brand of polish dill pickle spears. And it’s a small jar.

Maybe a dozen different kosher dill brands and sizes.

I could go to the pickle store for them but that’s all the way across town, and I usually only hit them up when I’m at the fish monger or the Polish store which is like twice a month.

Can you not simply buy a half-month’s worth of pickles every time you go? I mean how many pickles are we talking about here?

(A lifetime supply of pickles for me is 0. I don’t comprehend how many pickles a pickle connoisseur might eat in a month though.)

If sweet, 0. If dill, probably one every other day. Pickles are great, and like 10 calories.

Yeah, I make a few dozen jars of dill pickles every year and they never last the whole year. Mind you I give a lot away, but we also eat them somewhat regularly. And we’ll go through a jar easily at family gatherings.

I often eat a dill pickle for lunch when I’m not that hungry but have a craving for chewing.
