Come to think of it, goddaughter and my partner were both in theater and now both are bi…I wasn’t and I’m still straight.

I seem to be one of those people whose sprained ankle is going to last a year. I can walk on it now but the more I do the more it hurts. I finally requested the MRI I declined in March. I read the report. Lots “mild effusion” (inflammation I think) and some ligament has “moderate to severe thickening”. Waiting to hear back and see what all of this means—if I have to go back to physical therapy or just wait it out.
Called it a “Grade 2 sprain” but it should have healed by now per Dr. Google.

It was racism. Apparently he doesn’t agree with black people marrying white people. (that was actually his statement). Like, I’m old but in all my years I’ve never heard someone say that.
Just seems the same sort of thing roughly as anti-lgbtq is all, and the anti-lgbtq stuff seems to be in my face all the time these days.
In better news, I guess I’m getting better as I get older. Normally - and I know this is a fault of mine - apparently people can tell by looking at me if I think youre a complete effin idiot after you say something stupid. And this guy didn’t catch on. So, I got that going for me. This definitely was a problem for me back when I worked at HO of an insurer. Can’t put documents online for advisors because they might download the wrong one? It’s like they can read my mind, I didn’t even say anything.
I didn’t know my face gave away as much information such as this as it does until much, much too late in life.
i guess i won’t invite him to my daughter’s wedding, since her fiancée is black. Then again, his sister’s wife is trans, who basically went public a week before the wedding. Also a mixed race marriage.
yet, the one in the family i want meet is the lesbian aunt, who is a former nun that was in an HBO documentary, (set in my son’s wife’s hometown), who is living with a woman from my hometown.

Wow, those two roommates are really good friends.
My city refuses to collect the recycling in my alley unless I submit a complaint. We just had our third week of no pick-up, AND the complaint I filed last week is still not resolved (I can view my request in an app).
They claim they have to send a special truck to fit in our alley. So send the special truck every week! This is not a sustainable model. THEY were the ones who set the pickup point in the alley behind the house, for many others who don’t have an alley, it’s on the street in front of their house. Most weeks I can let it go, but lately it’s just enraging me.

Oh, and I’ll add, the same damn trucks are used for trash, on a different day but through the same service, and THEY always manage to fit down the alley, so I call BS, but it’s the city, so there is no recourse.

I have a zoom school enrollment meeting that was scheduled for 3:30, and 18 minutes later I am still waiting to be let in. It’s only supposed to last 30 minutes.

The call started at 3:58 and we were done by 4:05 (foster placement enrollments are very quick). Apparently there was a district system outage. Less annoyed now and glad it’s been resolved.
