Unpleasant surprise. Put winter tires on last fall, figured i’d let future space lobster worry about new summer tires. Well guess what, now I’m future space lobster and I’m looking at a 1k for new summers.
I guess the good news is I don’t have to swap tires on my vehicle today.
So thats one set out of 5 vehicles I don’t have to do.

Well two unpleasant surprises today. Went to Toronto and back to the servers to upgrade a couple of hard drives. 5 minute job, pull two old drives out, slap in two more, power on, and go home. Four hours later…absolutely nothing worked when I powered back on.
thanks goodness my dev guy was at home.
Also turns out we have a spare 2tb drive in the GOA server. No idea why I put that in there. backups maybe.

My husband decided to just start painting today while I was taking a nap. I woke up and walked in, he decided to not tape and the paint was all over the baseboards. We plan to repaint those, too, but I didn’t want them covered in paint because we are painting them white and there’s only so much you can cover with white paint.
Then he put the roller down into a bucket of water, rather than the paint, which I pointed out. He grabbed the paint roller and started squeezing off the water, getting it all over the floor (okay, whatever, we are replacing that Tuesday), then tries to pull the roller off, flinging paint all over me. I was wearing my favorite joggers.
I am so annoyed right now. I left the room quietly to change and sit in another room. “What’s wrong?” He just asked.

I’m reasonably particular when it comes to paint and this whole situation would drive me up the wall, too.

You examine someone else’s paint job when they’re done, and only from 20 feet away. You can’t inspect it up close, or during paint, or you’ll be paying for a divorce.
Source: learned this after my spouse decided they’d like to do some of the painting. Hey if you’re happy with it, I guess I don’t care. (…forces myself not to care…)

In fairness, I mudded the bathroom ceiling in the last reno. My gawd, drives me nuts the job I did. Imma redo it someday but until then, nobody has ever noticed.
I mudded my garage. Started out terrible, got a little better by the end, watched a few videos on it. Still probably wouldn’t trust myself to do anything in my house just yet. I might if it was textured, but as it stands almost all the house has a level 5 finish, I cannot do that.
I noticed just today that some stuff has been removed from the wall and holes have been spackled. I’m waiting for the paintbrush to drop now.

First thing his/her personal assistant will do for him/her is set up a system to send text messages at appropriate hours.
Deliveries from Amazon saying “delivered to resident”
Been home all day and didn’t get a thing.
Now I have to try to see which neighbour the dumped the package to.
Or if they did it at all (another issue we have in the UK)
Or you have notifications off until you are ready to wake up. I just don’t get notifications at night. My cell phone is my alarm clock, so i need it in the bedroom. But i don’t need it to be making noise or lighting up at 6:15am
