This is the worst. I see it a lot with recipes and quilt patterns. “It looks great! Can’t wait to make this!” is NOT a review, and is not helpful.
Our pharmacy says my husband has a Medicare advantage insurance plan. I pointed out to them that I think they have the wrong information in their system, and gave them our insurance card. They said the numbers matched with what they had. I’m super confused how this could be possible. I want to push them on it, but I feel awkward about it.
We have Optum through UHC. They think he (and he alone) has Senior Dimensions, which IS a UHC plan, at least. But the medications haven’t showed up on my insurance app yet, and they usually show up immediately. This is stressing me out way more than it should, given the cost of the drugs was $45 combined…
Is he eligible for Medicare? You could also ask UHC whether he has Senior Dimensions.
Unless you can get Medicare at 45 now, I don’t think so!
I make homemade gyros. Tasty bit not sure they’re worth the effort over a street vendor.
Plus they’re proper hell on the blender. It overheats constantly.
Then it should be trivial to convince the pharmacy that he does not have a Medicare advantage plan.
with health insurance “should be” and “will be” can be very different.
only if disabled
Stupid brain woke me up at 5:30 a.m. At least I didn’t have to go pee. Now I’m tired and cranky.
5:30 is fine. These days, I get up at that time commonly. Make a coffee and do a bit of homework before getting the day started.
The real annoyance is when I’m up between 4-5 and can’t get back to sleep. It’s bloody awful, because I’ve lived an entire life being able to sleep anywhere, anytime, and fall asleep pretty much instantly. Now I occassionally have problems getting to sleep for what seems like hours, or wake up in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep.
I’m expecting that it’s just stress from work, and once I wrap up what I’m doing in a few short years that I’ll go back to normal. Particularly since this started during a very high stress period on my life a few years ago.
Well, you can if you’ve been Social Security disabled for at least two years.
It sounds like that’s not the case with your husband, but his age alone wouldn’t prove that there’s an error.
If I wake up at 5:30 a.m. again, I will be extremely annoyed. ![]()
I am so fluffin’ annoyed right now!!! I am going right the fluff back to dleep!!! ![]()
More like a wtf, if only i’d have known moment.
Walked by a bread store last night, figured my spouse would like some fancy bread as a treat. So I ordered a loaf of standard white bread, and a small cheese loaf. Cashier rings me up, that’ll be $15. $15! I’d never have gone in if I’d have known I was buy $7-8 a loaf of bread.
Had the bread this morning as toast. Unbelievably it’s not actually very good. It gets a solid ‘eh, OK’ and nothing more. I cried bitter money tears as I ate my breakfast.
$15 Canadian is like, what… $3.50?
In all seriousness, even accounting for the exchange rate, that’s a lot for two loaves of only ok bread. Or… hopefully it’s one loaf of superb bread and one loaf of only ok bread???
Nope, two loves of meh bread.
that being said, I should probably be ashamed to admit that I don’t actually know what a loaf of bread actually costs at the grocery store. I haven’t done the regular shopping in decades and when I do go into the store, I either ignore the prices because don’t care, or I’m horrified at the costs. When did $1.99 hamburger stop being a thing?
I blame big bread.
Which is funny, except in Canada, it’s actually a thing.
Perhaps more sad than annoyed but not sure if we have that thread.
My work “spouse” is going for a final round interview tomorrow for a different company. I want good things for them of course, but I’d be losing one of few work people that I truly trust with things that would be no bueno to be spread around (just as they’ve been open with me about their job hunt.) I guess either outcome is good, I will just be sad to see them go.
Cob’s, amirite? ![]()
On occasion, i’ll get their danish as a treat. Their bread is definitely on the pricey side!!
