i can understand requiring a negative test, but what’s the point of having a vaccine requirement to replace this? being vaccinated doesn’t really protect a person from contracting and spreading covid. it just lessens severity.
Yes, my wife was agreeing with you. Except for a relatively short period, you can still contract and spread.
One somewhat correlative (word?) factor: people who care enough to get vaccinated probably take more steps to avoid risks. In particular, I would guess vaccinated people wear masks more often. (UnCruise also had, and is dropping, a requirement that travelers be masked onboard ship, though presumably that didn’t apply at meals. I don’t know whether the SOA ever had a mask requirement that would apply at an exam committee meeting, but there won’t be one at the late January meeting.)
My sister contracted covid for the 2nd time 3 weeks after getting the bivalent booster so not sure there is any window for the vaccine. It was a very mild case

I didn’t really get it until someone with a brain damaged child pointed out that their child’s condition which is a part of their identity was being used as an insult. That was an uncomfortable realization. That kid didn’t choose their brain injury any more that you chose your religious background.

My sprained ankle hurts today. It’s been 5-1/2 weeks!
I’ve also been on it a lot more this week bc I was in the office 4 days! I’m pretty sure the last time I was in that much was March 8-12, 2020.

The only time I had a severe ankle sprain it took months to feel close to normal and more than a year to feel fully normal

signed up to attend an industry conference. found that the property hosting it…is a brand i prefer not to support at all (and was masked/concealed in the event announcement). fortunately the room block was gone and i am forced to a neighboring hotel. will have to work a little to not spend anything there.
