My recycling bin tipped over in the wind and the truck couldn’t pick it up so I have 2 weeks (almost full) of recycling still in the barrel. Good news is that it didn’t blow around the neighborhood.

Similar to me, except I feel like I misdid it. Wednesday morning, not this morning. Only one bin, plus a cardboard box that hadn’t blown over. I replaced all in the bin, including two latex paint cans that I have doubts about whether they are recyclable. Think I should have let the paint cans beside the bin, making it easy for the collectors to decide. By the time I was picking stuff up, wind was very mild, with pickup at most 2 hours away.
In Hennepin county in Minnesota if the paint is dry I would put it in the trash. If the paint is liquid it requires a trip to the hazardous waste drop off site.

My neighbors’ 2 dogs got out twice yesterday. They don’t have collars/tags for some reason, and we live on a fairly busy street. The first time the dogs got out, they came to my front door to bark at my dog. I got them to follow me to their house. After no answer at the doorbell, I noticed the front fence gate was slightly ajar. It didn’t look like it was ajar enough for that to have been the spot they escaped from, but at least I could open it to let them in the fenced side+back yard.
Then a little while later they were out in the street. I went out to get them. It was a PITA since they don’t have collars. They went maybe 5 houses down the street before I convinced them to follow me. I got them back in their fence, and fortunately one of the owners came home then. She saw me and the dogs in the Ring doorbell the first time I returned them and that made her come home.
These particular neighbors have been a bit douchey to us, but I am an animal lover.

That was my initial thought. Not sure if this was wet or dry. I think rules are different for latex and oil-based paint (and that latex is “more ok”), but I wasn’t sure about rules for either.

The dog is way too amped up from not running today. We are both annoyed with each other.

I made a drunk thoughts and inebriated thoughts threads.
I played a lot of tug of war with the needy dog here but that’s every day regardless of weather
Sitting here trying to figure out how to exercise our high energy dog today since outdoors isnt a real alternative. Chase them arounfd the kitchen island i guess.
I have the same problem: a high energy dog not getting her usual amounts of exercise due to the weather.
I’m going to have to suck it up today.

I set up a text messaging drip campaign for a friend. It sends out some automated text messages a few times. I’m seeing some responses come through from people mentioning Christmas eve. Whoops.
I think I’m gonna take five minutes tonite and turn it off for a few days.
I went out to play fetch and she kept screwing around.

My FIL recently bought a big full face mask thing, so that when he has to do chores in cold weather for an hour his face doesn’t get cold. He’s a rancher. Makes sense.
This is the same guy who once asked to see the store manager at World Market because after wearing a surgical mask for ten minutes he said he couldn’t breathe. Makes less sense.

That was when emergency departments and morgues were full of people with hypoxia and carbon dioxide poisoning from masks, right?

And the doctors rolled around in all the extra money they made off of reimbursement rates with them being classified as covid.

There should be a law that says that any kid’s game that comes in a box and requires a little assembly should still fit in that same box after it is assembled.
