People still use cable TV?
I heard the other day that one regional (?) cable company is planning to discontinue TV and phone service in a year, due to customers shifting to internet-only plans.

The Domino’s behind my place just closed. Instead of walking 2 minutes, now I gotta drive to the next nearest one if I want pizza!!

We bought a pizza oven and have pretty much stopped ordering chain pizza!

you have no real pizza between dominoes?
Pretty sure domino’s will deliver that za straight to your door.
I would prefer the 2min walk. I hate delivery for the vague timing. And extra cost of required tipping (bc, actuary). So while this was not me, i feel the pain.

Tired with a headache all day. I was annoyed that the dog kept pestering me to play when I didn’t feel well. Then annoyed with myself because it’s not her fault for not understanding. I want to go to bed and be done with today.

Mostly chains here. The place with good, artisan pizza from a real pizza oven is a good 20 minutes away - and that’s takin’ the highway!!

I dunno I bought a pizza oven attachment for my Weber grill and while the pizza tastes good, it’s a mess. More a panzarotti by the time I’m done.
:swear: Extremely annoyed. And Actuarial even. I just got a Facebook friend request from Donald Jones, complete with profile picture I recognize. Yes, the picture is the Donald Jones I recognized, with whom I was already a Facebook friend, also an IRL friend, though we have had little contact for probably 10 years. We had worked on actuarial exam committees for many years before that. The problem: Don died in 2021. Clearly impersonation, but I couldn’t find any way to report it. I’m guessing it’s because the impersonator’s account has already been deleted, though I’m not sure of it. (Don was one of the co-authors of the Actuarial Mathematics text, primary author Bowers.)
It is mildly surprising that the impersonator’s account would have been deleted only 7 hours after it sent me a friend request.

How hot does that get? We cook our pizzas around 900*F.
Important things we have learned:
- thin hand tossed pizza is best
- very small amount of sauce
- 1 or 2 toppings max, and not so many that it weighs the pizza down
- dry the mozarella cheese a bit before using
Once we perfected our pizzas, they are great! No ragrets.

Impersonating accounts get deleted fast. Someone tried to impersonate my mother yesterday and i reported it. It was deleted within minutes of my report.

Is it the… Ooni? Oomi? Something like that. Sounds like you enjoy it, is it worth the price of admission? I’ve been thinking about maybe getting one but I don’t have the bandwidth for that at the moment.
For the time being we cook pizzas either in the oven or on the gas grill. One of these days I plan on doing pizza night on the green egg, which is some hassle to set up but it’ll hit a thousand degrees or so.

Do you only have Dominos near you? I have like 16 pizza places w/in a 3 mile drive from my house.
We get Trader Joe’s dough (it’s like $1.85) and make individual pizzas. Not sure what temp my wife cooks them at in the regular oven, but we like them.
