Looks like I’m replacing a toilet handle tonight. I mean, if all possible things that could go wrong with a toilet, the handle is perhaps the least annoying option but I’m still annoyed.

I got away with just tightening on up
I am glad, since I have a cabinet screwed to the wall. I can remove the lid, but can’t do major repairs without removing it
It is possible I could get away with that but this one looks to be 30+ years old so I’m just gonna take my fat actuary paycheck and replace it for $12.

Amount they charge the general public: $55

I spent forever and multiple trips to the store trying to get a couple of different “universal” ones to work. Once I got the appropriate side handle, 5 minutes.
No idea, but it might just be to make cash patients feel like they are getting a deal.

i don’t know why i had it in my head that i can eat toast but not a fried egg. no i can’t. THE FUCKING GAS IS OFF AND I DON’T HAVE A TOASTER OVER. i’d toast bread in the regular oven.
fuck this place. eating oatmeal and escaping to a lovely place that actually has gas.
but they are getting electric dryers, so if i come back i can at least dry my clothes in the future.

was in a small town camping this weekend. great we thought - they have a brew pub! nope. the beer menu looked promising by type. they were the worst beers ever. just beyond shitty. anyone who made this as a home brewer would have poured it away (4 different types tried) as mistakes too awful to share with friends or even drink yourself.
silver lining - me and friend have had many laughs about how shitty the beer was. had plenty of other beers this weekend too, all of which were v good.

So many political ads clogging our mailbox. I voted like 2 weeks ago, so did my spouse. Waste of time, money, and materials.
Does seem the opposition is sending more though, so may as well use up that money.
my samsung phone can barely hang on to the charger plug. like if i look at it wrong, the connection is lost and the phone won’t charge.
still able to address it, but need the specific charger cable and a very careful placement, laying perfectly flat, etc.

My MacBook pro is losing its grip on its power cable, too. Super annoying.
I’m not sure if it’s better or worse that i was planning to upgrade it soon anyway. I have this nagging question of whether this is planned obsolescence.
