I was at sbux this aft and I had TWO of the little fluffers buzzing around me!!!
Insignificant signals from other species.
greeted an old friend yesterday where they initiated a hug (fine w me).
today friend texts me they have tested pos for covid. now the head is spinning with the 3 second close contact (or the others i might have been around - it was a large-ish group attending the event).
There was a skunk in my backyard last night. I thought it woud be wise just to leave it alone.
This sentence would be so much more interesting if, instead of ending with a “.” it continued with “, but instead…[I tried to see if it had a microchip], [I searched it for nametags], [I tried to feed it raisins] (choose one…or more!)…”
I wonder if you fed it raisins that it would start to smell like “skunk, with raisin overtones”
Go on…
Well, Goth Twink was working at the time…
There was this one girl who asked what a fluffer was and I explained it to her. She was appropriately shocked.
The baby spring greens mix had a disproportionate amount of parsley and cilantro in it with a bunch of stems.
My siblings are so freaking irresponsible.
I have been asked to take in pets for almost all of them at some point because they can’t stop adopting them (or worse, buying them) and then can’t care for them.
I’ve taken in a dog for one sister for months. She’s asking me to take her THREE cats now until she can get out of her lease. We already have two cats. I told her probably not. Why does she need to get rid of them? Because she has taken in my third sister’s dog after my second sister took it in and it didn’t work out.
I have taken in a dog for another sister. That sister adopted a dog, bird, hedgehog, hamsters, and sugar glider from other siblings at other points.
I have taken in a cat one brother rescued.
Fourth sibling I haven’t taken any pets for, somehow.
Third/youngest sister has had every single pet taken by others. Currently one of her dogs is living with first sister. Another dog is going to live with my parents. Her hamsters are with second sister also. This one is the worst offender.
Youngest brother gave his bird to second sister. That bird got killed by third sister’s dog while it was living with second sister. Dog has since been moved to live with first sister. Who now has to rehome her cats.
Will any of them ever learn? Likely not.
I should try to create a diagram with all the pets my siblings have had to rehome, it’s ridiculous.
Yeah, that would be extremely aggravating. I can’t imagine giving up a pet just for minor inconveniences. If one of my siblings had some major life event that made their pets problematic (like they got a critical illness or had to unexpectedly relocate overseas), I’d gladly help out with their pets. I would not do it for nonsense reasons unless I really loved that pet.
Nothing but connection issues with work today. First got kicked out of the sandbox like 3 times, then trying to sign in got temporary profiles. Then when I did get back in, all teh icons were like three inches high on my screen, Then when that was fixed, it was only working across one monitor.
Finally all better, but I need a break after not working from the late morning until now…
I feel this way every time I even talk about all my siblings, it gets complicated quickly without being able to reference their names (even my closest friends don’t know all their names!).
There’s a T-intersection by my place that is about to become a 3-way stop. The northbound sign will be heavily obscured by a tree that is right in front of it.
I’m old and I have seen lots of bad insurance liability claims.
The owner of that tree REALLY REALLY REALLY needs to trim the tree (and keep it trimmed) so as not to block sight lines to the sign, or he/she will get pulled into any accident that happens at that intersection.
I am gonna look 5 ways when I approach that intersection when the new stop signs go in!!!
