Annoyed Thoughts: archive 1

Agree. I made a complaint to the appropriate area. That’s freaking nuts.

The power went out earlier for a grand total of 20 seconds, so now I have to reset clocks. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

You have clocks? In 2022?

I have 4 clocks in my kitchen within a 3’ radius.

A wall clock that is more decorative than anything, and then digital clocks on the range, microwave, and coffee maker.

ur doing it rong

Caraway can die a slow painful fiery death.

We only have 3 in the kitchen. But then again, we don’t have a coffee maker…

Didn’t we just go through this song and dance a week ago?

Who else thought this would involve raisins?

Yup. I distinctly remember bitching about having to set the invisible date on my microwave.

I love caraway seeds. I bought some and occasionally cook with them.

I was going for a RN. :woman_shrugging:

Go travel with Partner 1.

Woke up to the sound of the dog heaving.

But first she had to find a carpeted, high-trafficked spot to do it, naturally. Can’t barf on the linoleum in the bathroom right next to the cleaning supplies, oh no.

I loaned a sweatshirt to a friend (home team for a sporting event), who returned it washed a week ago. I put it on today and it still smells strongly of detergent and/or fabric softener. I don’t understand how people like this. I’m ready to take it off to rewash.

Same here. Tide actually makes a product that you can add to your laundry during the rinse cycle so that your clothes smell even more like detergent than they otherwise would. Who buys that???

I always use the “extra rinse” feature.

My spouse likes that extra smell, so our clothes get washed separately and we have two different detergents (and then also extra scent beads for my spouse ). We also have separate closets

It’s windy out here and the door to the sbux keeps staying open, letting in a nice, chilly draft. And the people just come walking through the open door not bothering to shut it behind them. :rage:

I think homes that smell like laundry detergent smell good. But as a pet owner, I’m always extra self conscious about how my house smells so I think that’s a big reason.

It also goes back to my childhood…I grew up in a hoarder house of squalor and all my friends had houses that smelled like laundry detergent so it became the “good house” smell to me.

My husband buys scentless detergent. I lost that fight when we started cloth diapering (can’t use any detergents with petroleum in them when you cloth diaper and even using it on other loads can cause it to linger in the washer), so both good smelling detergent and dryer sheets were out. And it just stuck as the default here.

Now my youngest son has sensitive skin. Part of me wonders if we created that problem by never introducing his skin to anything to desensitize it in his younger days.
