so, i’m going to the office every day, and apparently they will alert you every time someone who has been in the office recently when you’ve also been here if they test positive for covid. there are so few people in the office at a given time, but i’m up to 3 emails telling me i’ve possibly been exposed, but they won’t tell you who it was or what floor they even work on. for the first 2, i got the emails enough days past when i could have been exposed that i wasn’t concerned, but this last one was 4 days ago, so the window is still open.
tbh, i’d rather not know. i am not going to do anything different here other than worry, so don’t tell me! it would be different if they could tell me who the person was, but they cannot due to HIPAA laws, so just knowing it’s someone is not something i need to know.
oh also, with how often i’m getting these emails and with how few people are in the office, i’m guessing we are all getting covid eventually.
Seems to mock masks, vaccines, modern medicine, or anyone that thinks COVID is anything beyond a cold. I would think someone that understands excess mortality wouldn’t appreciate this sort of “satire”.

I had a family funeral last week, so I went home. Services were restricted to double-vaxxed only, and I thought I could sneak there and back before omicron became prevalent. And it was limited to family - aunts/uncles, cousins.
Yeah, the funeral director’s son has covid. So the funeral director is isolating. NO notification (I heard through family). NO idea if the funeral director has covid - because they DIDN"T GET TESTED. No idea if the funeral director is vaxxed or not EVEN THOUGH THE SERVICE WAS FOR DOUBLE VAXXED ONLY.
If I"m going somewhere that says it’s all double vaxxed, then screw the people that are responsible for that assurance who don’t actually make sure that everyone is double vaxxed. I would NOT have gone if I had any inkling that the staff weren’t all vaxxed, or if anyone attending wasn’t vaxxed. They should be charged. Or beaten. Or beaten, then charged.

On the bright side, I got to reconnect with some cousins I haven’t seen in far too long, got to visit a grave of someone who was instrumental in my teen years, and had a good visit with an uncle who’s had a rough year. And my brother in law gave me illegal quantity level of marijuana products to bring home for the kids. The kids are like raccoons on a hot dog every time I come home with ‘the hillbilly hay’.

by last week, how many days ago was this? today is saturday. do you mean at least 7 days ago? if so, seems that it is getting beyond the time period you would be showing symptoms by now.
also, a lot of double vaxxed people are getting covid.
if you heard this through family, wouldn’t that mean that the funeral director did notify someone in the family and it was their responsibility to tell everyone else? or am i misunderstanding what you’re saying?
I’m inferring. They didn’t disclose vax status. And they didn’t get tested after exposure. And their son isn’t vaxxed, in an area that’s heavy anti vax. It’s a reasonable conclusion to jump to.
Who doesn’t get tested after someone in their household has covid? Anti vaxxers, that’s who.
Up here, they take everyone’s name and phone and check vaxx status at the door, and as far as I know, they’re supposed to notify everyone. Thats why the govt regulates that they have to take name and phone numbers. Maybe there’s a loophole, I dunno.
They ‘checked’ status at the door by saying I trust you if you had your phone in your hand. That’s the level of lax these people are.
I’ve been up since 130am. My kid is coming home for Xmas. She had a negative covid test but the airline won’t accept it (same test they give but they won’t take it from NHS - whatever ) Fine so she gets to the airport early for one of their (fu give us your money) tests. Nope - all booked - all day - can’t help ya. WTF?!
She has to drive 30 minutes into London to get a test. Thankfully they rebooked her on a later flight (after I spent an hour on hold) and she will just be home 4 hours later than planned. And thank gods for her bf who took her and waited instead of just dropping her off!! Could have been much worse.
Still - I’m mostly annoyed bc I can’t sleep until I know she’s ON the plane.
