Annoyed Thoughts: archive 1

Related, I left my SIN card (Canadian equivalent to SSN) in a zipper portfolio at the airport along with my birth certificate, a $100 pre-paid Visa, and various other important documents. Airport tried to mail it back to me, but I missed it and it got sent back, only to be lost again.

I assume Tiffany Thiessen is now a Canadian criminal.

@Rastiln I filed a claim last week on my limited FSA for amounts spent above the deductible on my HSA eligible plan.

Jan 5, wife gets an injection. sticker price was $25K. We pay $2985 in amounts under deductible. We pay another $3K in OOP spend after the deductible. I submit that receipt with EOB.

Declined - said they could not tell if we satisfied the deductible. So I had to get the EOB for the 1/2 Rx fill for $15. Hope that does the trick. Insanely stupid

I’m not even an expert, but it’s certainly frustrating talking to healthcare paraprofessionals when you are pretty sure you should be covered and they can’t do it.

TIL… I was going to say that:

Limited FSAs are (in my understanding) only for dental and vision expenses. Other medical expenses can only be reimbursed through your HSA (if you choose to do so).

But: How to Use a Limited-Purpose FSA says

In some cases, an LPFSA can also be used for regular qualified medical expenses after you meet your deductible. However, this depends on the rules your employer has established for the LPFSA account that is offered.

That’s a cool setup (one my company doesn’t offer).

The dog has 1-3 holes she repeatedly digs up. I’m lazy about filling them because she tends to re-dig them up. Now I see the starts of 3 more holes. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Time to get rid of the dog. You can roam around your back yard without fear of stepping in poo or a hole. You’ll be free to leave your rotisserie chicken on the counter at your leisure.

There will be no squirrel infiltration on my watch. You’re welcome. :dog:

Go travel. A long trip. :dog:

She is good at letting me know when something’s been delivered. I shushed her woofing the other day, then noticed a package delivery notification.

@Echo: The next time Daddy goes poop, follow him into the bathroom and stare at him. Growl a bit if you have too. Who’s a gud gurl ??? You are!!!

Amazon says they delivered a package late afternoon yesterday. I was home, and they did not. I imagine they delivered it to another address.

A lot of my amazon “your package was delivered” messages include a picture of said package upon my front doorstep. I suppose they didn’t include that in yours, did they?

No picture this time. Even when they don’t post a picture, they usually say either left on front porch or left in mailbox. This time it said “left in a safe place”.

Well my bus broke down somewhere and is now three hours late, so I’m just borrowing a car and NOT getting my first greyhound experience. Which is probably for the best.

First world problems: i feel like shit because i got a booster shot yesterday, and want to take a nap, but the cleaning lady is here.

I will be a good customer and stay out of her way. But i don’t really like to sleep in the hammock.

When I last visited my dentist, they told me I needed to pay my last bill because my insurer was no longer responding to any bills they sent. It’s not that they were denying claims, but simply not responding at all anymore. They hadn’t paid for routine cleaning done in January yet. Just tried to call them, and it’s an hour and a half wait time to talk to a representative. That’s ridiculous. I don’t have time for that this evening, so I’ll try again next week.

Damn those insurance companies and all the people who work for them!

Just kidding; that’s absurd.
