The car we were in was on the old side (2007 Hyundai Sonata with 150K+ miles on it). Insurance probably will only pay out a couple thousand, and my dad is stuck figuring out how to replace it. That part is always annoying.
In case you were worried - the jeep had one of those big grill things on the front. Hardly a scratch on it.
Where I live there are so many large vehicles on the road that I wouldn’t feel safe in a sedan. Pickup drivers especially can get really aggresive on the roads.
Boss tested positive last week, who I saw on several occasions (distanced, masked, short, but frequent). Neither he nor HR thought it a reasonable idea to tell me. Found out from another coworker he seemingly casually mentioned it to.
Tested negative yesterday and never had any symptoms. Still pissed given that I saw immediate family over Christmas.
I’m the only one on my team in the office and something urgent came up. I don’t know how to produce what they need and they don’t really know what exactly they’re even asking for, so any hope of an early release is squashed today.
“I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, I am in constant pain. And I’ll probably never play the piano again.” That’s what I need to repeat in front of witnesses, right???
In truth I know very little about the actual details of WC claims adjusting before it ends up in my loss file, but I’d say if you were on work hours and got injured it sounds legit
Uh, yeah, I was getting a work sandwich in my work kitchen when I tried to turn off the work light with my work finger!!! All work related, I you not!!!
