That could definitely set Trump off.

I think Elmo has been pushing his luck quite a bit with Trump.

I always figured Trump would eventually turn on him.

Feels pretty much universally true for all values of ā€˜him.’ But especially Elon. Egos gonna clash.

The ā€œfunā€ will come when Elmo reminds Donnie that Elmo bought him.

Trump doesn’t need Musk anymore. He’s already President.

I’d heard about the emergency paint job, but didn’t realize that his living there is already an unusual expense.

The letter to Hegseth asks the secretary why the emergency paint job was necessary, what rent he will pay for the house and asks him to provide a list of former secretaries of defense who needed government-furnished housing with the same costs needed to maintain his own home before occupancy and annual rent was paid.

It’s unusual but not unheard-of for defense secretaries—who are technically civilians—to live in government housing: Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who served the Bush and Obama administrations, was the first in the role to live in military housing, the Stars and Stripes newspaper reported, noting he paid $6,500 a month for an ā€œold but spacious 19th century homeā€ in Washington, DC.

It is common for secretaries of defense to live in private housing, according to Military.com, as former Biden administration Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin lived in a nearly $3 million, 8,700-square foot house in Great Falls, Virginia, while holding the position, Task and Purpose reported.

I wonder when Elmo and DOGE will address this wastefulness.

Right after they cut all of the space funding and electric cars subsidies

Maybe Trump can get the eligibility rules for POTUS changed so that Elon is eligible.

Based on Trump and Vance’s comment this weekend, I thought whatever Trump wanted us now the law.

Trump is operating the US like he would a Mafia family.

The parallels are striking.

I could see him appointing Matt Gaetz or George Santos if the post is going to be filled.

This is utterly insane.

Mitch McConnell, the lone R vote no, issued a statement on this that began by saying that the Senate needs to take its confirmation role seriously.

RFK Jr cloture vote was 53-47. Politics aside, I don’t understand how anyone thinks that this 71 year old man who has claimed in court filings to have a portion of his brain eaten by a worm and subscribes to all sorts of crazy conspiracy theories is remotely qualified to be a cabinet member.
