I might have to pay my 20%. I scheduled for this evening at 5 just to not have to think about it. Requested Pfizer and hoping I react less to it than I have to the Moderna vaxes.
ETA: According to the cdc they are still free.

I think recommended vaccines fall under preventative 100% coverage.
Yeah I just looked it up and all the childhood vaccines were listed but they also covered my shingles and pneumonia vaccines 100%. It said that travel vaccines might not be covered.
Yellow Fever is fairly expensive and generally not covered. Malaria pills are not covered, and there are several options of varying prices.
I think I’ve gotten others that were recommended for travel but not specifically “travel vaccines” covered. Like TwinRx (which is Hepatitis A & B).
I can’t recall whether Polio was covered. Not a vaccine, but I think ciprofloxacin (for travelers diarrhea) is generally covered by insurance.
Don’t forget cell phone use or some of those stupid touch screens that new vehicles have.
Wear a mask and don’t worry about it
Fwiw, i wore masks on airplanes before covid, because they protected my lungs from the incredibly dry air in planes. Now i don’t have to explain to my seat mate why i have this scary thing on my face. Winning!
I wore something like that a few times around 10 years ago - I think the brand was Humidiflyer. The flight attendants treated me very nicely as if I had some serious condition.
I just wore an ordinary surgical mask. Worked great to hold in some moisture. An n95 works even better. The same characteristics that make masks unpleasant to wear on a hot muggy day make them very nice in an airplane.
I haven’t been on that many flights since COVID hit. IIRC, 3 round trip flights but it could be 4. I dodged COVID for a long time, but it almost certainly was a flight or going to/from the plane that finally got me.
So I got the Pfizer bivalent at 5 yesterday. My arm is killing me and I’ve had fever and chills and didn’t sleep great. I just can’t win with these vaccines.
Only other vaccine I reacted to was Shingles. Flu is fine. Pneumonia was fine.
I think most car accidents during the day are due to texting while driving
I’m pretty sure at least 90% of accidents at night are due to a driver being under the influence
I haven’t been on a plane since 2012 or 2013, I think.
You’re waaaaaaaaaay overdue!!!
Not taking a plane flight in a long time is for… is for…
People on the no-fly list?
Where would I go and why? I don’t really travel for business any more. And when I do, it’s usually w/in 3 hours or so and I drive.
People with too many kids?
I can’t even imagine flying with 4 kids.
The cost alone is enough to put me off to be honest
I guess there’s no need to travel when taylor ham is accessible
