I have noticed a few examples recently of stupid phrases in web journalism that i am guessing are AI generated and pushed thru without reasonable editing.

On a story about the Bayesian sinking, reporting on consitions during the recovery phase:
“… the waves crashed quietly on the shore…”

And today’s fun one:

Gustin said the crowd at D23 was the largest and most energized he has been a part of since he started covering the event in 2022.

So bigger than last year in more words.

That one is even more unclear. Largest since 2022 could mean 2023 was the smallest he’s ever seen.

Have an Android, new replacement phone, same as my prior A52

It won’t charge in my car.

I got a Samsung wire, knowing that worked before. nope.

mostly plug in the USB, flash of recognition, no charge. Shows charging on car’s GPS screen.

tried the plug, those never seem to work.
Though more amps.

I know the store had a $30 plug, seems excessive, but getting desperate.

Phone charges fine in the house, outlet box or USB.

Thoughts?

Only charging issues I have had are cord related. Does the same cord work inside (same object, not just same kind/brand/model of object)?

I’ve had gunk build up where the cord plugs into the phone. At that point some cords work but others don’t. If you haven’t cleaned out the port I’d try that first.
