One place where I see AI can take over is the PCP or Physician office visit for routine procedures.
My personal examples:
T-roy visits doctor, doctor looks me over, asks me questions, gets blood work
Bloodwork comes back and T-roy needs Cholesterol meds
T-roy goes back to doctor again after 3 months of being on cholesterol med and gets more bloodwork
bloodwork comes back and T-roy needs a different mg of drug and goes on it for another 3 months
repeat.
I think I could have eventually skipped a few doc visits in there (and thus save on the office visit).
I think docs should be preparing to figure out how to bill for this. I mean, really the doctor has to look over the labwork and all.
I don’t think they’re (PCPs and Specialists) not going to like this
It clears out their queue of people (like in the above example) that really don’t need to be in there, allowing for more visits otherwise (I would think this is a net positive)
