last night’s Jeopardy had a “retired actuary”. I think he got 2nd place. (My kid was watching, I didn’t see the whole episode).
And a video podcast I listen to was discussing with a guest, who brought up actuarial science (https://youtu.be/pH4O2KCu6xg?si=f3OqbB54PO72tm-b) (maybe 15 minutes in? maybe 25? not sure about 34:00 in he starts talking actuarial science; a little off-base, but closest non-actuary I’ve heard)
