Among them was Andy Jassy, the chief executive of Amazon; Tim Cook, the chief executive of Apple; and Lisa Su, the chief executive of chip maker AMD.
My first thought was that they probably had other ideas about the best way to spend a Saturday night. But, in Trump’s US, you show up when you are invited. The internet tells me that Amazon paid $40 million for the rights to the story, and will spend another $35 million marketing it.
