Perhaps some Republicans will start finding an interest in gun control.
Unsaid in the NRA rhetoric is “Arms for me, not for… them.”

I expect they are more likely to support “Shoot first, just in case the protestor has a gun”.
In some earlier periods, particularly Jim Crow and Reconstruction, gun control was a “conservative” issue for precisely this reason.
Also, it’s alleged that this is the reason the NRA was pro-gun-control a few decades ago.
