A Reminder of where America is heading

I think its almost all the high prices. He has been railing against hispanic immigrants for a decade now.

Some, I assume, are good people.

I don’t know. I’m not sure that we would have only two parties in our parliament. Don’t no-confidence votes sometimes pass when a coalition breaks down?

I know that on the second impeachment, 10 Rs flipped in the House and 7 flipped in the Senate. But, that wasn’t exactly “no confidence”.

If the cult has been convinced that the building is in poor condition and lack of funds make it impossible to salvage, then demolition would be a perfectly reasonable action for the Glorious Leader to take in a cult member’s mind.

Now, if he firebombed the building while running around naked, shouting “hail Satan!”…that might get some of them questioning his fitness to serve.

There are signed affidavits saying people witnessed forklifts that were nominally erecting fencing that also repeatedly struck structural columns. The building is being sabotaged in plain sight. And there are also AP photos of Trump looking at enlarged headlines saying Kennedy center demolished while on AF 1

Where the A of us is heading… What’s left is the pissing and moaning about the lost facade of giving a damn.

Follow the power.

  • Trump seeks demigod status and his image holds the idiots in thrall so he pursues the destruction of all that is not a temple to him.
  • The Republican Party has shed their facade of giving a damn about anything other than power so they fellate the Epstein class, and hold their nose at the stink and support The Donald.
  • The Epstein class is playing the long game and realize this inflection point is key to shifting themselves into a decades (centuries?) long feudal state.
  • The D’s, the Washington Generals of political parties, suck on the tit of the Epstein class even as they feign concern for the people.
  • And the People. The most powerful of all. United able to crush all contenders and restructure all society are splintered into meaningless factions full of hate for each other.

The answer is violence and blood. ICE is the recognition that boots in the cities may be needed and comfort thru repetition for the idiots is needed. Authoritarians do not give up power without bloodshed. So I ask you, if you found yourself in a room with a Epstein class billionaire choking on a Big Apple slice, would you save them or hold the door for the few minutes as they expire?

The question better said?

When I was a young boy, my father Took me into the city to see a marching band He said, “Son, when you grow up would you be The savior of the broken, the beaten and the damned?” He said, “Will you defeat them? Your demons And all the non-believers, the plans that they have made? Because one day, I’ll leave you a phantom To lead you in the summer to join the black parade…”

Yup. Obviously staged.

Need something new to talk about instead of diesel prices.

I think there are environments where this shit gains him points in the polls. This doesn’t feel like one of them. It may move the needle the other way either. Fatigue factor will still build.

No US airlines in the world’s best 20.

I’m picking Porter over Air Canada these days for domestic travel.

SAS is mean.

Just curious: When all that redistricting was the rage, I wondered just how effective it might actually prove to be.

If you take a district that broke 58-42 R in the last election, and dropped it to 52-48 by raising R chances in another district…how reliable is that?

Random chance could work against you in the slimmer margin, like bad weather, some unknown externality (war anyone?), a less than optimal candidate. Too many unknowns, imo
Lastly, did they fool themselves with the Hispanic results from 2024? were those voters really permanent Rs?

Seemed like a risky guess at the time. Did anyone else feel that way?

It’s been a long time since a US airline appeared on that list.

I’m kind of surprised that Air Canada is there. I thought it had had issues recently…or maybe it got better?

Air Canada is ok, certainly better than the US airlines or BA. There are not many good airlines. I used to fly Asian airlines a lot and many of them are just at a different level than the North American ones.

Qatar airways is probably fine as long as you aren’t a woman of childbearing age.

Here’s another airline high on that list.

Free healthcare, what’s wrong with that?

Even Fox News supports pool coverage suspension.

Trump did an event about the helipad that has video but no audio b/c of no TV press pool. I don’t know why there is video, but the silent video succeeds in making him look worse than if there was no video.
