Tofu fits some of the answers but not others.

What other grab and go deli type stuff would fit? Probably not potato salad or macaroni salad, as I’d say they were mostly carbs. Fried chicken would be mostly protein.

It’s also eaten by itself and most often morning or early afternoon. It’s processed but “can” be made at home though it doesn’t seem like it is common to make at home.

Could mean that it’s more often consumed earlier in the day or that time of day has no effect on consumption.
