At least Orban conceded defeat.
This is one of the main reasons why Orban lost by so many votes. Financial mismanagement was off the scale and people were very angry on the ground.
Magyar’s party still needs partners to form a government as I understand it now.

Over 98% of votes counted now and he is also safely inside the 2/3rds barrier for a super-majority.
He campaigned on that so I am glad to see he is following through.
I expect some of those people to flee the country if they can.
FT has done a series on Hungarian corruption and it was just horrific how much corruption Orban and Fidesz has been involved in over the last 16 years.
This basically all started because Orban and his cronies pardoned one of their cronies after having commited serious child abuse. They also tried to keep the pardon secret.
That was a bridge too far for Hungarians after years of corruption.
Hoping Magyar and his party turn out to be reasonable. Can’t be worse than Orban though.
Pleased that Orban is not contesting the result.
