I hope you adjust your expectations to be closer to reality. BEL are a better team. Period. USA played four middling teams in Group and The 32.

They probably couldn’t beat any of the other 15 in The 16, barring Ebola or some poisoning of the opponent.

I have no expectations. After the cup final I’ll forget about soccer for 4 more years.
I expected Belgium to beat us, then I saw for some reason the USA was the betting favorite and I thought they had a chance.
but I see they are the same mistake prone undisciplined team I see every 4 years.

Belgium knew this was over before the first kick, witness their starting lineup, no De’Bruener, no Lukaku. USA is probably better than they were 10 years ago, but really how many players would have a shot at playing for a major club like Barcelona or Liverpool?
Yeah, there are plenty of idiots betting on soccer who know nothing about soccer. They’re called Americans. Stupid ones. Plenty of them.

Lukaku hasn’t started any match. De Bruyne has played poorly this World Cup besides for a few minutes against New Zealand. Belgium improved after taking off De Bruyne and Doku in the match against Senegal.
I have to admit, I just checked the Glorious Loser’s social media feed, expecting he would have done just that.

Correct…however there was no sliding. It flat out wasn’t a slide tackle. He accidentally stepped on a dude at a weird angle. Foul? Yes. Straight red..nah. They were always going to lose to Belgium regardless. I hate that this is even a debate. The US continues to make itself look dumb, and that is the bigger point.

Word on the street is that Trump is going to appeal the result of last night’s game, on account of him not being able to locate Belgium on a map and thus not believing it’s a real country, which would make them ineligible for WC play. Stay tuned!
