Congrats ARS.
Now, we wait for the draft where the worst teams get a chance to pick the best players…
Wait, that’s not this league. The worst teams are relegated. That would be WHU, WOL, and BUR.
Welcome back Ipswich, Covington City and Hull City!
We got players and coaches leaving, replaced by… no idea.
Big fanfare and talking-head talk when the schedule is released on June 19. Who plays whom and when and where?!? Who plays on Thursday after a tough game on Sunday??
Congrats also to Spurs who would have been relegated if they had lost this weekend.
Congrats also to West Ham who negotiated such a sweet deal previously on their stadium. Takes a bit of the sting out of relegation.
Never understood the “Not making Euro competition is a good thing” mentality:

1. Chelsea out of Europe entirely … a blessing in disguise Part II? Xabi Alonso and the Blues will have no European football next season after their 2-1 loss to Sunderland. (And it must be said: Take a bow, Regis Le Bris, after your squad qualified for Europe for the first time in team history, and did so as a promoted side, no less.)
Maybe that’s not such a bad thing, because it means they won’t have the UEFA Financial Stability inspectors peering into every nook and cranny. Chelsea are already under a settlement agreement for breaching existing rules. They’ve already been fined a record amount and face further punishments including a European ban if they don’t hit their profit and loss targets. (Considering they had record losses last season, it appears unlikely without gutting the squad.) Instead, Alonso gets a less congested fixture list, and the club can focus on shedding players and making its books look a little more presentable. And because Chelsea won’t be assessed again until a year from now (assuming they qualify for Europe), it buys them a bit of time. It won’t be a quick fix, but it may be better than getting into the UEFA Conference League and being kicked right out again.
Fun fact: CP are playing in Europa Conf Final (tomorrow), mainly because the competition is pretty weak compared to the EPL. Will likely advance to Europa, as the 15th best team in the EPL.
They got 7 extra home matches.
Annual “Fuck Stan Kroenke” post goes here, especially since the last team in his sports empire not to have won a title finally did - proving yet again, being a POS doesn’t keep you from being richly rewarded in life. If anything, it makes it easier, and when you marry someone fantastically wealthy it makes it that much easier.
Qatar seeking out a foe it can defeat?
He looks like Pep Guardiola.
Did Qatar get relegated? Why would they play Spurs?
Most importantly: Rebecca Lowe was only borrowed by FoxSports. Will be returning to NBC for EPL.
Now, will start punishing teams for having a goalkeeper fake injuries.

This could be a strange year. Not really sure what’s going down. City, Liverpool and Chelsea have new managers. ManU kept their interim they weren’t sure about. Spurs look ready to actually go down although they look to be 6th choice to win league. Some teams that had risen like Newcastle and Fulham don’t look the same. Curious if Everton make a good go at Europe.
Great. As a Sox fan, I liked the a Fenway group. 4 World Series, 2 EPL titles, 3 CL finals with a win. Bezos is just not somebody to be aligned with.
And, well, too bad.

What is the “uncertain” part? Owners selling their share to another owner. Do they mean,
“the actual percentages of ownership are uncertain”? Who cares?
Real issue might be that Boehly owns only about an eighth of the club yet is the “face of the club.”
Boehly made himself interim sporting director and was the public face of Chelsea’s new ownership after taking charge.
However, Clearlake have since asserted their dominance within the club’s hierarchy with Eghbali now the leading figure.
Thank you for your service, Rodri.
Mark Walter is effectively a forced seller here.
He is in big trouble back home in the US because he used his insurance companies to finance some of his other ventures via private credit loans.
Big fat non-no even in the Trump era.
